On a recent hike along the Santa Ynez Trail, I took a detour to see if I could locate the Santa Ynez waterfall. A well marked sign indicates this is not a well-marked and a non-maintained trail, but with a bit of caution and trail info, I managed my way along the creek to find the waterfall. What was amazing among the beauty of the entire hike, was that I found a couple of goldfish swimming at the base of the waterfall and a few prehistoric looking creatures. Ok, so maybe they were just salamanders, :•) but it was a great hike and a fun find. So which one of you hikers planted those gold-fish in there? If you want to see more video… check out this from another hiker who went up when the water was really running.
