Broadway Elementary opens a pilot Mandarin Immersion K through 6 program. Students receive Mandarin instruction through hands-on experience and real life application. The curriculum will start with listening and speaking at the early grade levels and develop into reading and writing. Mandarin teachers collaborate in instructional planning with classroom teachers in every grade level to ensure that the Mandarin instruction is relevant to grade level standards and curricular content in various subject areas.
