If you have kids on the Westside of Los Angeles, chances are you are in a new breed of parenting. The kind of parent that has developed the equivalent of a PHd. in navigating the educational systems that are on the horizon. From conception until they leave the nest, many on the Westside go to pta/booster club meetings on a regular basis, ‘lottery-in’ to a more desirable school, volunteer till fingers bleed. These parents know what a magnet, charter, private, public and “stress” are all about.
