LAPD detectives are asking for the public's help and have released images of a suspect who used a handgun and an object resembling an explosive device to hold up Smart & Final on Venice Blvd in Palms on March 16, 2012. Anyone with information about this incident, or the suspect, is asked to contact Major Crimes Division, Criminal Conspiracy Section, Detective E. Sun at 213-486-7260. Police asked for the public's help in locating a man who robbed a warehouse store in Palms. The suspect was holding a handgun and "what appeared to be an explosive device" when he walked into the store in the 10100 block of Venice Boulevard, between Motor Avenue and Hughes Avenue.
