The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Los Angeles Business Council will be hosting information workshops to roll out LADWP's Feed in Tariff Program. To learn how to participate in this program, we invite you to RSVP to attend one of three public information workshops including 6:30pm on Tuesday April 17 in downtown LA and 2pm on Thursday April 19 in Century City.

Open Neighborhoods has teamed up with PermaCity, Inc. to make going solar easy and affordable with group discounts, neighborhood workshops and a solar challenge. The program will raise up to $40,000 for school booster clubs, religious institutions and other non-profit organizations with a goal to install one megawatt of solar power on the rooftops of homes, businesses, and multi-family housing in Los Angeles County.

The LADWP will host a public workshop at the LADWP headquarters building in Downtown Los Angeles, Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. This workshop will be an opportunity for stakeholders and customers to discuss the changes that have been incorporated in the draft solar "feed-in tariff" demonstration program guidelines based on recent feedback.

The LA City Council took the rare action today of voting to take control of a popular Solar Incentive Program run by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, based on concerns it will benefit businesses more than homeowners.
The council is expected to debate the issue Tuesday and vote whether or not to force the department to change the incentives or allow it to go forward as originally approved.
